Want to Participate in CUSP?
We are excited to invite all U.S. institutions to join the CUSP Sharing Site, a newly launched web-based resource designed to facilitate the sharing of standard procedures used in animal research protocols!
Instructions for Joining CUSP
- Request the required participation agreement by submitting a ticket to our Help Desk Team:

- Requestor: Enter your email address
- Subject: Enter “Request for Participation Agreement”
- Description: Enter your name, job title, telephone number, and the name of the institution for which you are requesting an agreement.
- Attachment: None needed
- Click Submit.
- Review the required participation agreement with your institutional leadership. Note: Our CUSP Quick Start Guide is an excellent high-level resource to communicate the design and benefits of CUSP.
- Once this participation agreement has been signed by the individual(s) with signatory authority for your institution (e.g., Associate Vice President for Research, Attending Veterinarian, Institutional Official), return the signed agreement to our Help Desk Team.
- The Help Desk aims to enroll new institutions within three business days.

- By participating on the site, you agree to the site’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Please review the information about setting CUSP up at your institution and the requirement to identify at least one individual to serve in the critical role of Institutional Representative online at https://thefdp.org/wp-content/uploads/Setting-CUSP_Role-of-IRs.pdf.
- Check out a recording of the CUSP Town Hall from 2/6/2025, which provides more details about the CUSP project goals, site security, and joining and using the site. The recording includes a brief, high-level demonstration of the site.
