Proposed Timeline for the SF-424 Research & Related (R&R) Clearance Process
- September 3, 2004 -- Information Collection Requirements in OS-0994 SF-424 Research & Related (R&R) Emergency Clearance Request posted in the Federal Register.
- September 3-17, 2004 -- Written comments and recommendations period.
- October 1, 2004 -- Received Notice of Action response from OMB approving the RR form for 120 days with the clearance number of 4040-0001. The emergency clearance expires on March 31, 2005.
- November 12, 2004 -- SF-424 Research & Related (R&R) 1st Regular Clearance Request posted in the Federal Register. Any comments will be submitted to the HHS Information Collection Officer, as stated in the Federal Register Notice. Comment period ends on January 12, 2005.
- November 12, 2004 - January 12, 2005 -- 60 day written comment period for SF-424 (R&R) regular clearance request.
- January 17, 2005 - SF-424 -- After preparing response for comments received during the 60 day period, the HHS Information Collection Officer will send to OMB for the 2nd Research & Related (R&R) Regular Clearance Request to be posted in the Federal Register.
- January 17, 2005 - February 17, 2005 --This will follow with a 30-day comment period. Any comments will be submitted to the OMB Information Collection Officer, as stated in the Federal Register Notice.
- March 31, 2005 -- Receive normal clearance for SF-424 Research & Related (R&R) from OMB on or around 3/31/2005 before the emergency clearance expires.
