1. To establish a baseline for a systematic cost/benefit analysis of the effects of ERA applications on a common set of sponsored programs administration processes and practices
2. To develop a longitudinal database for use by participants to analyze the impact of new/modified ERA applications on their own sponsored programs productivity over time
3. To establish a basis for benchmarking the impact of ERA applications on sponsored programs administration productivity among peer groups of institutions, thereby elucidating best practices of potential benefit to all
