Registration:

The meeting registration system is up and running. Please log into the FDP web site to register for the meeting, http://nrc59.nas.edu/login.cfm. Also, if you are planning to attend the Export Controls Symposium, keep in mind that event is a separate registration, http://nrc59.nas.edu/exp_cntrl_registration.cfm.

Registration Fees:

Employees of federal agencies, faculty and staff from FDP member institutions, including Emerging Research Institutions, DO NOT have to pay a registration fee for meetings held at the National Academies’ in Washington, DC. This applies to anyone from a member institution who wishes to attend, not just your designated representatives.

Affiliate Fee – Registration fee for affiliate members is $75.

Non-Member/Vendor Fee – Registration fee for non-members/vendors is $100.

On-site registration – On-site registration fee for non-members/vendors is $125.

Checks should be made payable to FDP-MIT and should be mailed in advance to Edvin Hernandez at the address below. The Taxpayer ID number for MIT is 04-2103594 (if you require the signed W9 Form please send an email to
fdp@nas.edu). Checks and cash will be accepted during on-site registration provided the participant has pre-registered.

Accommodations:

All participants are responsible for making their own hotel and travel accommodations. Blocks of rooms have been reserved at the hotels listed below. All meeting participants need to call the hotel directly to make a hotel reservation. When calling please identify yourself as part of the NAS/FDP meeting group to receive the negotiated rate. The State Plaza hotel requires you to provide code # 9069 when calling to make a reservation. The deadline for hotel reservations is April 15, 2007 for The Watergate and State Plaza hotels. Rooms will be released after this date so please make your reservations early (especially since hotels in the DC area are already sold out for the week of May 20-25, 2007)! We have just added the Georgetown Suites hotel; they’re holding a small room block for us. The cut-off date to make reservations there is April 15, 2007. Last minute reservations may be found at http://www.hoteldiscount.com.
